Well, i'm going to try to leave this thread very broad to any topic relative to FNL. The soundtrack is pretty cool, i especially love "A Slow Dance". I have never seen the movie, but when the show started i decided to tune in to see what its all about. And to be honest, i am absolutly hooked. I normally don't want TV at all. But i don't miss FNL. Anyone see the movie? Anyone else watch the show? Anyone dig/despise the soundtrack? Anything...

I think if you like the show, you'd like the movie. Very similar in production, themes, storylines, etc. That movie will always have a special place with me because that was my formal intro to EITS. Plus, as a Texas guy, I have to support. Anyways, I'd say it's worth the time and dime.

I tried to watch the DVD a couple nights ago, but it was pretty scratched and kept skipping so I got really frustrated and gave up watching halfway through.
Actually, I didn't really pay much attention to the storyline because I kept listening to the EITS in the background.

Friday Night Lights is my favorite album by EITS.
The film was always be special to me because I come from a football much like Odessa so I know how it feels to see that very pressure.
The book is just amazing as well.
The dialogue in the film is very heavy-handed at times and its hardly ever light-hearted but its a great experience, especially if football is your thing.
And EXPLOSIONS rules.
Too bad they didn't release that song that introduces the first day of training. If you see it, you'll know what I mean.
Amazing.

i've heard that there was an unreleased cd with all all the other tracks they provided for the movie. Does anyone know if that is true?

Probably true, hence why it is unreleased. Why would it matter to us? Its not gonna be in our hands any time soon.
I'd kill to have it.
