I started listening to this band when I was 16. About two years ago. At that time, there were many things in my life that werent going well. I was in foster care because of abuse... just too many issues. I was actually considering killing myself.
A older friend of mine gave me a CD by Explosions In The Sky. When I started to listen to it...just something in the music touched my heart. Gave me hope. To this day, I cannot explain why I love their music so much. I just do. Every time I hear it I close my eyes and float along with the music. My emotions and feelings entwined with it.
To me, this is the best band ever created. They should be very proud of themselves.
Peace and Love x Luna

^ Very beautifully put Luna. I feel the same way. EITS are very much a band that tie your emotions into their music. They deserve more acknowledgement from the music world. Wishing Explosions and music-lovers everywhere a very Happy Musically-charged New Year! ~ emily

Peace and Love x Luna Reading through these old threads is like a time capsule. Music truly is timeless… I think this is especially so for lyricless bands, because their messages can transcend beyond the events of time. Some songs lose their meaning as the world changes, but with EITS, you could listen to their songs in twenty more years, forty, even a hundred, and it would still be relevant because it is about how you interpret it. Your experience is unique, and might not be similar to anyone else's.
