new album/new stuff?

Just a question...and maybe I'm just a little overanxious ...but 2 questions here.......

#1 has anyone heard anything on when they might start working on new album? I noticed they have like 2 months off during the holidays. Didn't know if that was just for family and a much needed break from the road or if they might be doing something then. what have you heard/read?

and, #2..I got to see them last april. so, they were still playing lots of stuff from the All of a Sudden Album. Anyone who's been to a more recent show: Have they played any "new" songs?

any info would be appreciated.

from what they've said about how they write before, i don't think i'd look for any new stuff until after they are done touring in support of the current album. my guess would be just taking a break. they've hardly toured many places yet for this album. mostly just the US and a few european dates in april. don't forget that the early summer european tour (and whatever plans were after that) got cancelled..


from the tour in october, there were no newer songs.. at least on the tour with SP, they had stopped playing songs from all of a sudden that involved keyboards. could have been just to simplify things w/ the tour with SP.

Good point about the cancelled tour. I hadn't thought about it. I guess I'm just a little over zealous. Can you blame me for wanting more Explosions? I think not.

Chris said in an interview with the French fansite that they have started working on new material. I think we can safely assume that there aren't any fully fleshed out new songs yet, but they've definitely started.
