for those of you stuck in the dark ages [aka: cd users], this is reason #58320 why vinyl records are and will be better than those little digital discs you use. you can't etch a full 12" cover art scence on marble blue cds!

and if you don't own "the earth is not a cold dead place" on vinyl, side "D" looks like this.. taken with my computer's camera, so it lacks quality. has birds etched all around and has "the earth is not a cold dead place" etched onto it as well.

not only do records look better, smell better, have huge art that usually has more than cds, give you a better feeling when you get it in the mail/find it at a record store, or tons of other reasons..it seriously sounds so much better. there's no better sound in the world than hearing the needle drop and that first note of the album. amazing! it especially works terrific when you are lucky and your ex-girlfriend gives you two old 3 1/2 feet tall speakers that sound amazinggg to go along with your kickin' stereo setup. just crank it up a little and you can feel every beat hit you and bleed in through your pores. mmm :]

There's nothing like seeing that 1X1 cardboard box on your doorstep. The blue marble vinyl is unrealistic, it's definitely the coolest looking record I have in my collection. Whenever I buy a vinyl I always get the hook up with a bunch of free posters. I got an assortment of them this time including a "Tarentel" poster and a "The Ladies" poster. I agree about the sound. I have an old phono speaker cabinet that I switched out the old turntable and put in a new sony one in. I don't think music, in a stereo situation, is supposed to be heard any other way. Too bad last night my stylus blew out. The Arm just slides to the end of the record. Does anyone have any suggestions, other than the obvious “buy a new stylus”? s. white

what kind do you have? maybe i can help you find what you need for not $20,000. the bands i don't know are: miss violetta beauregarde, tarentel. the band i don't like is: envy. envy is seriously the most overrated screamo band in the world. to me, they are just one huge snoozefest.
