Hello everyone. Obviously, this is my first post. I have been a hardcore Explosions in the Sky fan for about a year now and I can safely say that their blending of instruments and building their music to a climax is unlike any other band out there today.
They are just absolutely unbelievable musicians...
Is there any chance that they might play the Bonnaroo Festival in mid-June? The festival is in Manchester, Tennessee. I went last year, mainly to see Radiohead, and it was a fantastic atmosphere which I think would welcome EITS with open arms.
I am going again this year and I would be blown away if EITS were there.
What do you guys think?
If not, I may venture to Detroit next month (I live in eastern Ohio) to check them out. They don't spend much time in the midwest and it is the only currently scheduled date that would be feasible.
