I was exposed to their music while watching Friday Night Lights in the theater and was just amazed at how their music and the imagery meshed into this great beautiful thing.
The very next day the first thing I did was take a trip to Amoeba Music and got all of their records.

I too first heard their music through the movie FNL, but then my friend put me on to some songs and i've been hooked since. Can't wait for them to come to NYC sometime....I HOPE!!!

Kris Roe of the band the ataris was mentioning them in a magazine and thught i'd check it out.
and i liked what i heard.

A guy that I met at a ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead concert was telling me about them as we were talking about music so I got a little intrigued and checked them out. He is actually an acquaintance of theirs and travelled with them a little - and I'm sure he'll join this board soon - and now when they play locally, I get to see ol' Andy now too. Its like a ticket to 2 great forms of entertainment.

was browsing insound.com about 3-4 years ago. after i read the description & it said "this f#cking destroys" I had to listen, & realized that it did.

I downloaded illegal mp3s from kazaa or something. obviously since i took the time to listen, i got the actual CDs (well, the albums. . . never paid for some rarer mp3s)

i was talking to someone off a chatroom and she kept going on about Explosions and so she sent me a bunch of their songs - been hooked since!
