I'm new too this, and if im at all jumping in too soon, with a new thing. let me know, ill stop. I just thought it be a good way to talk about other bands, similar to EITS. and such. I'm from dayton, ohio. and the music scene has blown up with bands like the devil wears prada, singing to Rise records, and beneath the sky, to Victory, Mouth of the architect to translation loss. but many other bands aren't getting much of there name out. so here's the links to a few. For fans of explosions, minus the bear, Appleseed cast, jeniferever and many others. www.myspace.com/likeamillionlights www.myspace.com/wttbf www.myspace.com/romanceofyoungtigersFor fans of noise projects. www.myspace.com/ghostsofnormandy1 Tell me what you think, like, don't like. =]

For some months ago I listened to Romance Of Young Tigers and liked what I heard.
I checked Million Lights and Ghosts of Normandy out yesterday. They sounded nice.
I´ve never heard of When The Tigers Broke Free .. I´ll give them a listen soon enough, for sure ... along with the others.

When The Tigers Broke Free - Quite blatant Floyd reference there As far as bands that sounds like EITS go, there's an australian band called Laura that mix more complex melodies with a strong electronic influence, with some nice use of sampling thrown into the mix. They're on myspace, i suggest you listen!

I'd highly recommend This Will Destroy You. They're out of Texas, probably not a coincidence since they sound a lot like EITS. They like to use a tad bit more distortion and the piano is employed full-time I believe. In 2005, they released an EP entitled Young Mountain - if you can't find it, let me know and I could probably upload it.

One of my favourite random myspace musicians: www.myspace.com/wildernessmusicHe's recently changed his name to Oceanic, but he's still making those lovely acoustic/rock tunes.

you should all post bands/albums in the ysi/ss thread i made! this way people can get a taste for the whole album, rather than just a few songs on myspace.
